We recommend 48 hours to dry before showering and please use your fan. Hot temperatures with no fan used can lead to paint bubbling if not given the proper time to cure.

After pollen has fallen but before it gets too cold. It’s also not recommended to paint on extremely hot days.

What temperatures can Penntek concrete coatings be applied in?

We’re able to install our concrete coatings year round! We try not to install on very rainy days, snow or extreme cold.

Most garages can be done in just ONE DAY! Larger size garages or ones that require more prep could take longer.

What do we need to do to be ready for interior painting?

We ask that all items are removed from walls, curtains and window treatments are taken down and all breakable items are put in a safe place. Any breakable items in cabinets, etc. should be removed by the homeowner and stored away.

All cabinets should be emptied out.

Landscaping should be trimmed back from the home. Cars should not be left in the driveway if possible. Sprinklers should be shut off.

What do we need to do to be ready for power/soft washing?

All windows and doors should be closed and the water turned on outside. We do use a special mix of soap and cleaner, so we recommend removing any outdoor furniture cushions, etc. If we’re washing a deck or patio the furniture, grills, plants, etc. should be removed. We can help with heavy items. It is not necessary for the homeowner to be home. We also ask that dogs are not left in yards.

Garages need to be emptied out prior to our crew’s arrival. We can help with heavy items. Basements should be empty and pool patios/patios should be clear of any items.

How do we choose a color?

You can feel free to visit any local Benjamin Moore dealer or check out their website at We are able to match colors if you prefer a color from another company. We can also match custom colors by taking a chip to match. If you’re having trouble deciding, we’re happy to offer a complimentary 1.5 hour appointment with our color consultant. Is my house going to be dusty after you’re done? We strive for cleanliness throughout the duration of your project. Unfortunately, as hard as we try, there might be some dust left behind.

What is your typical work day?

Our crew will arrive at your home between 8 and 8:30am. They will take a possible coffee break in the morning, a half hour lunch in the afternoon and will begin to clean up around 4:30 or 5pm usually. Your crew leader might ask if the crew can stay later in some cases to finish up.

We highly recommend matte finishes for walls. Our most common finishes are flat ceilings, matte walls and semi-gloss trim. Bathrooms are usually painted with Aura Bath & Spa matte, which is superficially formulated for bathrooms.

People happy with our services

Spectrum was very professional and they did a great job with every aspect of the job. They were friendly and helpful, had ideas for future projects and worked quickly and really took care in the staining of the deck. Everyone on the team was courteous.

I just had a few rooms painted by Rich's great team, Rafael and Marcin. They were extremely pleasant and courteous. They spent time carefully prepping the area. Their work was absolutely flawless. There was one area of the ceiling that was haphazardly patched before - a cap screwed into a former light fixture that looked terrible and I asked for them to somehow make it disappear. I couldn't believe when I walked couldn't tell there was ever a cap or fixture or any spackling/hiding: like it never happened. I highly recommended Spectrum!

Your professional workers just left and like the last time I am refreshingly amazingly Happy!! I wish I could afford to tip them! I told them in a world where everyone is out for themselves it is heartwarming to meet people of honest quality who do a perfect job with smiles on their faces. They go beyond my expectations. This time I asked them to caulk a hole in a wall that they did not paint. They not only caulked it for me - they found the paint and painted the spot for me! I am so proud of your company and thank you very much.

We hired Spectrum to paint, wallpaper, remove wallpaper, build a closet, remove popcorn ceilings, and other related jobs that came up. Each day I was greeted with a smile and handshake from the crew leader and his team. At the end of the day, their enthusiasm was as strong as it was in the morning. Just an amazing group of dedicated, hardworking people. They finished our condo in record time, covered our floors and furniture, what little we had. I am sorry that we have to stop at 5 stars. They deserve at least double that number! We moved into a condo and they were careful also about the common areas, putting down tarps and board to keep the dust off the rugs and not track onto the carpet. The building staff was so appreciative!

Spectrum did the most professional and diligent work I've ever had done in my home. The staff's attention to detail, tidiness and pleasant manners make contracting with them a top-notch experience. Spectrum gets an A+++ in my book!
