Our concrete coatings are 24 hours back to service, 48 hours for car traffic or moving heavy items back onto it.

When can we take a shower after bathroom had been painted?

We recommend 48 hours to dry before showering and please use your fan. Hot temperatures with no fan used can lead to paint bubbling if not given the proper time to cure.

What's a good time of the year to paint exteriors?

After pollen has fallen but before it gets too cold. It’s also not recommended to paint on extremely hot days.

What temperatures can Penntek concrete coatings be applied in?

We’re able to install our concrete coatings year round! We try not to install on very rainy days, snow or extreme cold.

How long does it take to do a garage?

Most garages can be done in just ONE DAY! Larger size garages or ones that require more prep could take longer.

What do we need to do to be ready for interior painting?

We ask that all items are removed from walls, curtains and window treatments are taken down and all breakable items are put in a safe place. Any breakable items in cabinets, etc. should be removed by the homeowner and stored away.

What do we need to do to be ready for cabinet painting?

All cabinets should be emptied out.

What do we need to do to be ready for exterior painting?

Landscaping should be trimmed back from the home. Cars should not be left in the driveway if possible. Sprinklers should be shut off.

What do we need to do to be ready for power/soft washing?

All windows and doors should be closed and the water turned on outside. We do use a special mix of soap and cleaner, so we recommend removing any outdoor furniture cushions, etc. If we’re washing a deck or patio the furniture, grills, plants, etc. should be removed. We can help with heavy items. It is not necessary for the homeowner to be home. We also ask that dogs are not left in yards.

What do we need to do to be ready for concrete coatings?

Garages need to be emptied out prior to our crew’s arrival. We can help with heavy items. Basements should be empty and pool patios/patios should be clear of any items.

How do we choose a color?

You can feel free to visit any local Benjamin Moore dealer or check out their website at We are able to match colors if you prefer a color from another company. We can also match custom colors by taking a chip to match. If you’re having trouble deciding, we’re happy to offer a complimentary 1.5 hour appointment with our color consultant. Is my house going to be dusty after you’re done? We strive for cleanliness throughout the duration of your project. Unfortunately, as hard as we try, there might be some dust left behind.

What is your typical work day?

Our crew will arrive at your home between 8 and 8:30am. They will take a possible coffee break in the morning, a half hour lunch in the afternoon and will begin to clean up around 4:30 or 5pm usually. Your crew leader might ask if the crew can stay later in some cases to finish up.

What finish is good for interior painting to clean walls?

We highly recommend matte finishes for walls. Our most common finishes are flat ceilings, matte walls and semi-gloss trim. Bathrooms are usually painted with Aura Bath & Spa matte, which is superficially formulated for bathrooms.

People happy with our services

We used Spectrum Painting to paint our laundry room, kitchen, living room, office, powder room, sitting room, 2 story foyer and hall, 2 bedrooms, master bedroom, ceilings in kitchen, living room, and foyer, 3 car garage, shutters on 13 windows, and the front door with 2 sidelights. In addition to the walls being painted all doors, baseboards, window frames, crown molding, and other trim were included. Furthermore, we had a wallpaper border removed and crown molding added in the master bedroom. The paint job took less than a week and turned out great! We could not be happier with all of the colors we chose (with the help of Pam) and the way the it turned out. Overall, the sales team, including Rich Lauretta and John Mangiafreno, the project manager Rafael, and the design consultant Pam Steinhilber were all very professional and a pleasure to work with.

Both Jessica and Shaun were a pleasure to work with. I had 16 shutters and 3 doors painted. The price was absolutely reasonable. Shaun did an amazing job doing the entire job himself. He was clean, friendly, and worked super-fast getting the entire job done in one day. Highly recommend Spectrum for painting.

We would absolutely use Spectrum Painting again! The work is exceptional, the crew seems to really take pride in their work and they really knew what they were doing!

We hired Spectrum to paint, wallpaper, remove wallpaper, build a closet, remove popcorn ceilings, and other related jobs that came up. Each day I was greeted with a smile and handshake from the crew leader and his team. At the end of the day, their enthusiasm was as strong as it was in the morning. Just an amazing group of dedicated, hardworking people. They finished our condo in record time, covered our floors and furniture, what little we had. I am sorry that we have to stop at 5 stars. They deserve at least double that number! We moved into a condo and they were careful also about the common areas, putting down tarps and board to keep the dust off the rugs and not track onto the carpet. The building staff was so appreciative!

I am so happy we chose to work with Spectrum Painting! The office manager Natalie was very responsive in setting up our estimate. Initially Rich came our for a detailed estimate and walk through. After going through the numbers and reviews we decided to go with Spectrum. Although they did not offer the lowest cost we felt like we knew what we were paying for. We were in the process of moving into our new home in Wayne, NJ so we would not be onsite to project manage daily. On the day our project began, Rich and his crew leader Brian met us at the house to walk through the project and colors. Brian was absolutely amazing to work with. He would call or text with daily updates and even sent some photos to make sure we were happy with the colors we chose. I felt completely comfortable leaving Brian and his team at our house for the full week alone to complete the project. Everyone was extremely professional, kept the place clean, and wore masks, which is important to us because I am pregnant and my husband has an auto-immune disease. I can not recommend Spectrum Painting enough! Though they didn't offer us the lowest cost estimate there work was worth it! If anyone is looking for a painter reach out to their team. You won't be disappointed!

Not enough superlatives to describe the quality of work and the professionalism of the tea m. No detail, however small, was overlooked. Highly recommend with no reservations.
