North New Jersey Kitchens: Reface, Replace or Mix and Match?
Having a hard time deciding between Replace your Kitchen, replacing it or doing a bit of both and mixing and matching. By the end of this you will have a better idea on how to decide what the best option is for you.
Replacing your kitchen can be pricey but sometimes there is no way around it. Take a look at the foundation, if there is rotting, warping or irreparable wear and tear, these are signs that it is time for a brand new kitchen.
Refacing your cabinets is giving your kitchen a "fresh" look without the price of replacing everything. You would want to do this if your kitchen is in fairly good shape and the only real issues are cosmetic. Refacing your kitchen is great when you feel that it is becoming boring, bland or the cabinets are chipping and you want a refresher.
Mix & Match
This is an option often over looked, maybe the foundation is fine but the doors and drawers are falling apart, you can choose to just replace the doors and drawers. If so then getting a Fresh look is perfect, Reface it! This option is good if you're just tired of the look of your kitchen. Don't forget hardware is a great way to give your refaced cabinets a fresh look with out getting new doors and drawers.
